Playlist, Week of 2025-11-30

 

I like Future Teenage Cave Artists much better now than when it first came out... Deerhoof makes great driving music (as I was reminded of in August), and I need to go back and revisit all the albums after Breakup Song (which for me they still have yet to top, although Noble and Godlike in Ruin comes close)... The quality of Duke Ellington's later suites drops off considerably after The Afro-Eurasian Eclipse, not least because of the death of Johnny Hodges shortly before, but there's still some great moments to come...
